10 BEST SNACK BRANDS THAT ARE GLUTEN, GRAIN, & DAIRY FREE!

September 17, 2019

As some of you have probably read before, I have suffered from food allergies for years so am always on the hunt for some really healthy and hunger sustaining snacks that work well with gluten, grain, dairy and refined sugar allergies. I get asked by all of my friends and family about what snacks I eat, as they become more aware to how their bodies react to all of these inflammation causing foods we now have in our diet.

Well, I thought I would share some of my favorite snacks as well as a comprehensive list below of some of my favorite brands that cater to the food allergy impaired! I hope you enjoy and please share the wealth by commenting down below if you know of any brands like these!

#1. Simple Mills Crackers & Bread Mix: SimpleMills.com or you can get them at ThriveMarket.com, Whole Foods and Sprouts.

I get the garlic spread from Trader Joes to use instead of hummus and these crackers, so good! They also have cupcake and cake, pancake, and pizza crust mixes!!

#2. Chomp Sticks: Chomps.com You can also get them at Trader Joes, ThriveMarket.com, and Whole Foods.

These are great instead of a granola bar if you need something to throw in your bag that won’t melt in the sun and isn’t full of sugar

#3. BeeFree Gluten Free Granola: BeeFreeGF.com or on Amazon.com

These are some of my favorite snacks! It feels like having a guilt free dessert! They’re made with a base of almonds, nuts, and honey, but it is actually quite low in sugar, which is awesome! My favorite types are the Original Warrior Mix and the Berry Warrior Mix, but they’re all so good.

#4. PaleoTreats: Paleotreats.com are amazing gluten, grain and, dairy free! They taste like a delicious dessert but are loaded with amazing ingredients to hold your hunger and blood sugar until your next meal. They also have so many different kinds to try. You can even order different samplers so you can try a little of everything!

#5. Siete Grain Free Tortilla Chips : sietefoods.com or you can find them at Whole Foods, Sprouts, ThriveMarket.com

Made with Cassava and coconut flour and the best part is they taste almost identical but better than corn tortilla chips. The first time I ate one, I honestly was shocked out how delicious they were! I get the lime flavor with the salsa from Trader Joes, and some homemade guacamole (recipe to come) and I’m in heaven! They also make just straight up tortillas if you’re dying for a gluten free burrito!

I’m doing a happy dance while writing this!

#6. Lily’s Chocolate (sweetened with Erythritol): You can get these at WholeFoods, Sprouts, Ralphs, ThriveMarket.com, Amazon.com, and I’m sure a million other places.

While some of the flavors do contain dairy such as the milk chocolate, the extra dark chocolate does not. (see #7 if you can’t eat dairy) This chocolate bar is great for people like me who break out when they eat sugar. And, I can’t tell the difference hardly between Lily’s chocolate and regular chocolate. My favorite flavors are the milk chocolate salted almond, and the salted caramel and almond. But again, if you have a dairy allergy, check to make sure the flavor you are choosing does not contain dairy.

#7. Hü Chocolate and Crackers: hukitchen.com or you can get them at Whole Foods, Ralphs, and ThriveMarket.com

These are another amazing chocolate bar company that has no dairy, gluten, soy, GMOs, emulsifiers, or refined, cane or sugar alcohols in their bars! Talk about healthy! Plus they have some really fun flavors like Cashew Butter & Raspberry Jelly Dark Chocolate and Orange Dream Vanilla Cashew Butter!! Yummy! They also make crackers and coffee.

#8. Lesser Evil Paleo Puffs “NO CHEESE” Cheesiness: lesserevil.com or you can get them at ThriveMarket.com and Amazon.com

#9. EPIC Pork Rinds: epicprovisions.com or you can get them at Whole Foods, ThriveMarket.com, and I’m sure many other stores.

Now this may not be the ideal snack for some people, and I thought I would be one of those people. But once I tried them, I forgot what they were, and it totally satisfied my desire for something similar to a crispy chip. Try the BBQ and the Pink Himalayan Sea Salt.

#10. Trader Joes Rosemary Marcona almonds, Mixed Berry Trail Mix, and their lightly salted Macadamia nuts are my easy grab snacks. I can just throw them in a little bag and put them in my purse without worrying about them going bad. I can just snack on them anytime I feel my blood sugar dropping.

List of other brands to check out if you are eating paleo/keto or have allergies like myself.

Also, ThriveMarket.com is great for spotting some good finds for paleo brands that you may not have heard of.

Check out:

  • Primal Kitchen for dressings and ketchup
  • Lakanto Maple Syrup made with Monkfruit
  • Kicking Horse Coffee for mold free coffee. Yes, I said mold free. If you didn’t know, you should do some research, but all but about two brands of coffee in the US contain mold. It’s a long explanation but you can check it out for yourself. The other brand is bulletproof Coffee and I didn’t really enjoy the taste very much.
  • Real Yogurt where you can make your own dairy free Yogurt.
  • Dr. Axe Keto Protein (chocolate is my favorite) for a good morning shake. He also makes some great Keto Activators for those who want to get into ketosis faster.
  • Milkadamia nut milk
  • Sir Kensington Special Sauce (I believe contains dairy)
  • Any organic brand of coconut aminos as a great substitute for soy sauce
  • Noble Made Medium Buffalo Sauce (NO SUGAR or sugar substitute)
  • Primal Kitchen No Sugar BBQ Sauce. So so good! I don’t like sweet meat like bbq so this is the perfect sauce for me because it has all that hickory and spicy flavor in a  wet rub without the sugar.
  • Primal Kitchen regular and chipotle lie mayo made with avocado oil
  • Navitas Cacao Powder
  • ThriveMarket.com coconut wraps
  • Bee Seasonal Honey

*If you have any food allergies, please check all of the ingredients in any of the items I have recommended before consumption to make sure their is nothing that could cause you to have a reaction.

I’m a fan of Lara Bars when I want a sweet treat. They definitively aren’t low sugar but at least it’s from dried fruits.

Yes! They are so good, and I feel not as bad because it’s date sugar. The Key lime and lemon are my favorite!
